PANEL ILLUSION DRESSES |
Oh... You thought I was going to talk about some magical Va-voom that will melt the fat from your body? My bad! So sorry to disappoint you but I just decided to use that topic so that y'all will jump on it,knowing fully well that, that's almost every lady's dream! lol. Let me introduce to you-- THE ILLUSION DRESS.
The panel Illusion dress- a trend being embraced by all and sundry, are just so exquisite, it is a compulsorily present clothing item in every girl's closet. Even if you don't have the curves naturally, its structure gives the illusion of a slimmer waist and a larger hips.
For the plus size ladies, it is advisable for you to buy these type of dresses with thick texture so that all those detested folds can be well concealed by the dress. You can rock it to a wedding/birthday ceremony, dinner party and even to your work place.
If you've been staring at this trend from afar, unsure of how to go about wearing it, here are a few tips for you;

1. EASE INTO THE LOOK
If you’re wearing a panel optical illusion dress for the first time, slipping into it can come as a bit of a shock. Choose the white and black combination as it’s the most common and successful. Once you get bolder, we recommend the black and nude combination for a little wow factor.
2. LOOK FOR THE PANELS
Make sure that the illusion dress you’re wearing has darker side panels if you want to look like you’ve sliced inches off your waist. If you want a little enhancement, a slightly darker shade under the bust will make you look like you just went up a cup size. Two side panels do the job of making you look curvier. You should also go for panels that fits and blends with your skin to enhance the illusion effect.
3. GO SLEEK
The one thing most celebrities get right about an illusion dress is wearing their hair sleek. If you want the attention to stay on your curves, don’t make your hair the centre of attraction. Wear it slicked back straight, or gently pulled back into an elegant bun.
4. WEAR PATTERNS
Who said slim people don’t need illusion dresses? If you’re slim, wear patterned dresses to create the illusion of more curves such as zig zag peplums. If you’re feeling a bit bolder, pick a dizzying side design that will expand your hips and bust but make your waist look tiny.
5. AVOID OVER ACCESSORISING
Since your dress has to be the main attraction, don’t go overboard with accessories. Wear simple black heels and carry a small clutch — no other kind of purse will go well with a dress like this. Try to avoid necklaces as much as possible; opt for earrings instead.
6 DON'T DO AN OVERKILL
There's a downside to this outfit if you've got over the top, killer, bad ass figure 8, you don't have to do a overkill by rocking this outfit, because the dress will well... overstate the obvious and portray you as a desperate attention seeker!
Anybody gets my point now???
7 DO AWAY WITH THE BELT
Each time I see a beautiful panel illusion dress paired with a belt, I just hiss to myself. The whole point of the illusion dress is defeated when the belt goes across, because now the focus is on the belt and not on the illusionary figure.
You See what i Mean??? Just doesnt look right with the belt |
